Mountain Swim provides swimming coaching services in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales. Mountain Swim was established in 2013 by Corin Dobson. Squads range from squid classes for beginners through to performance squads for national level swimmers. Mountain Swim also offers adult squad training for beginners through to advanced levels.
The Coaching Team
Corin Dobson
Corin started teaching swimming as a learn to swim teacher in 1998. He started coaching in the Blue Mountains in the year 2001. In 2004 he became the Glenbrook squad head coach alongside partners and coaches Paul and Kathy Dobson. Together they coached the swimming squads across the Mountains as the Blue Mountains coaching syndicate for eight years. In 2013 Corin formed Mountain Swim and is currently the manager and Head Coach. Alongside his Austswim and coaching qualifications he also has a B.A. (honours) and Masters in Teaching. As of 2023 he has coached over 40 swimmers to a National Age level and numerous swimmers to National Open and the Olympic Trials.
Assistant Coaches
Alongside Corin we have Mark Brown, Angus Bolton, Laura Ticehurst, Danijela Selby and Morgaine Petrovitch all working as assistant coaches.
Mountain Swim also employs a number of junior coaches on a casual and seasonal basis. All junior coaches have at a minimum their Austswim and/or lifeguard qualifications.
