Enrolling Swimmers
New swimmers need to complete an assessment before they can join squads. The assessment can be done in about 5 minutes..
This assessment is generally done before mini squad. Most swimmers will be referred from Learn to Swim or stroke correction classes. Swimmers should arrive 15 minutes before the start of the session.
When the swimmers arrive remember to introduce yourself and ask if there is any questions. Sometimes swimmers might be nervous about doing the assessment. Let them know they will be fine.
Swimmers need to be instructed to enter the water carefully. From there they can complete the assessment doing something similar to:
- 50 Freestyle
- 50 Backstroke
- 25 Breaststroke
- 25 Butterfly
Evaluate the swimmer during their assessment on what level of squad they may be suitable for.
Once the swimmer has been assessed they need to complete an online enrolment form. The enrolment form is under the squad information/joining squads tab on this website.
