In this section of the portal information and resources to do with squad training can be found.
Squad Standards
Having pride in your training and your squads is an important part of our swimming squads. The journey of your swimming training will be something you hopefully look back upon with good memories. High standards make training better. Additionally the personal development and self discipline you learn in training will benefit you throughout your life. Achieving personal success in swimming and success as a swimming team comes through having high standards and always trying to meet them. The standards you need to meet are:
Before Training - Get ready 5 minutes before the session is due to start. (This includes having all your equipment ready, your swimmers and googles sorted and having gone to the toilet earlier). Don't wait for the coach to have to ask you to get ready!
During Training - Act with respect. (This means listening to the coach, no bad language or behaviour, and treating other team members the way you wish to be treated). - Complete sets properly. (This means swimming at the right speed, doing drills and technique to the best of your ability, holding the training times, completing streamlines, turns and finishes, not stopping and not cutting laps). - Practice safely. (This includes not mucking around, being aware what is happening around you and where you are swimming, and moving over at the end of sets).
After Training - Clean up your area and pack away any borrowed equipment.
At Competition - Act like a professional athlete.
