Strength and Conditioning Coach
The strength and conditioning coach (S&C) works on competitive swimmers strength and conditioning. They coordinate land training with swimming training for this purpose. The coach works with swimmers (up to a national level) both as a team and individually, providing a land program alongside monitoring and testing swimmers progress.
This position is a casual position. This would suit a university student or a trainer that is looking for a few hours and some experience with a highly competitive swimming team. Please see the details below for work days and requirements. The below hours and qualifications are a guide and it may be possible for the coach to develop into other areas including swimming coaching if they have an interest towards that.
Requirements:
Working with Children Check
Senior First Aid
Personal Insurance (ideal)
Training Qualification
Drivers license and transport.
Over 20 years old
Starting Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Glenbrook Leisure Centre, 4.45-5.45pm. Total 2 hours.
Wages: $140 week
Additionally the coach may be able to run one on one training sessions with swimmers if needed.
